Hello!
The Conference Committee would like to thank those who have completed the 2027 NORCAN Conference Interest Survey. We have begun reviewing the responses and are very thankful for the insight that you have provided. If you have not filled out the survey, it will remain available to fill out until May 31st, 2026.
During the last Conference Committee Meeting, we made some very important decisions regarding the upcoming event that we want to share with you so that you have time to consider attending the conference.
Conference Location & Dates:
As previously shared via social media, the lab day and conference will be held Monday, April 12th, 2027 through Thursday, April 15th, 2027 at the Kitsap Conference Center, 100 Washington Ave, Bremerton, WA.
Monday, April 12th - OSINT/SOCMINT Lab Day
- Our topic for the 2027 Lab Day is OSINT/SOCMINT Techniques. We are in discussions with a couple of amazing professionals in the field about the specifics, but the overall theme for the lab day training will cover techniques, policies and procedures, and ethical considerations around OSINT/SOCMINT investigations.
- Due to the topics that will be discussed, the Lab Day will be limited to law enforcement professionals only.
- Lab day will be available to a total of 40 participants, with registration opening to NORCAN Members first. If seats do not fill up, registration will be opened to all law enforcement professionals who wish to attend.

Accommodations:
We are working with the Hampton Inn & Suites located next to the convention center to get a room block of 50 rooms at government per diem (2026 Rate = $110/night). Hotel includes continental breakfast, still waiting on information about parking. We have also researched the possibility of utilizing shared home rentals (VRBO/Air BnB) to accommodate groups that may not be able to (or their agency is unwilling to) afford the nightly fee. There has been some feedback from analysts who work in the local area with concerns about being able to stay in Bremerton due to the proximity of the location. We understand the importance of your attendance for all aspects of the event and will be providing scholarship opportunities to NORCAN members to cover expenses related to lodging and travel as opposed to conference registration for this event. If you have ideas on how we can support you in those conversations with your department, please let us know. More information will follow on the process of applying for accommodation scholarships as we get closer to registration being open.
We hope that this information will be helpful in your discussions about attending the 2027 Conference. In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the upcoming event, please do not hesitate to reach out at conference@norcan.us
